Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine and the Long Beach Convention and Visitor’s Bureau are teaming up for the fifth year in a row to offer www.100daysofsummer.org, a searchable calendar of free concerts & movies, Long Beach Sea Festival events, El Dorado Nature Center & historic site events, and ideas for spontaneous fun like hiking, biking, golf, tennis, swimming, and youth and teen programs. Here’s what’s coming up:
Movies in the Park – sponsored by Signal Hill Petroleum. The movie and popcorn are free, and the time spent with family is priceless! Bring a lawn chair, blanket, and picnic-style dinner. Movie begins at dusk.

Frozen the Sing-a-Long: Aug. 27 El Dorado Park West
Music in the Park – Steel Parade (Calypso) Concert Aug. 28, 5:30 p.m. El Dorado Nature Center $3/under age 5 free.
Enjoy a picnic by the lake. Bring low chairs and a picnic dinner. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Steel Parade fuses Calypso, funk and reggae for an exciting contemporary rhythms.
Dustbowl Revival (Folk / Bluegrass) Concert Aug. 25, 5:30 p.m. Rancho Los Cerritos Free
Pack a picnic dinner and enjoy a free concert on the grounds of the historic rancho. The Dustbowl Revival merges bluegrass, gospel, jug-band, swamp blues and the hot swing of the 1930s.
