THE FISH TALE restaurant served its last meal on July 31 and is slated to become the third EJ Malloy’s Restaurant and Sports Bar in Long Beach. Enjoying the last hours of operation are, from left, Fish Tale owners/brothers John and Jerry Bloeser, long-time friends Dr. John and Susan Ingram, and Paula Bloeser, John’s wife. The popular Los Altos MarketCenter restaurant opened in 1977 and boasted the phrase “The Oldest Seafood Restaurant in Long Beach.” The brothers also operate John Bloeser Carpet One in an adjoining building, a fifth generation flooring and window covering business that started in 1879.
