Home Design Tour

Cheeseburger Fest

This fundraiser for the youth mission trip (Sierra Service Project) is open for the Long Beach community to support. ‘Flipping’ Workshop

California Flipping Network will present a free two-hour workshop for beginning investors and realtors on how to get started finding, fixing and flipping houses. Holland Festival

The 25th Annual Holland Festival in Long Beach will take place Sunday, May 25 at Gemmrig Park – behind Wal Mart at the Long Beach Towne Center – from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Adults $10. Children under 12 free. There will be live music, Dutch and Indonesian cuisine booths, Heineken beer on tap, arts and crafts vendors and children’s games. MOLAA Gala

Experience the splendor of Mexico at ¡Viva Frida! MOLAA’s annual gala and auction on May 31. Inspired by the Museum’s current groundbreaking exhibition, Frida Kahlo, Her Photos, the evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with chilled cocktails and sips of premium tequila. Then guests will have the opportunity to place bids on silent auction items like trips to Mexico City and Cuba, jewelry and L.A. Dodger tickets, followed by dinner and a program.

Great Homes Tour

Long Beach Heritage invites the public to view some of the unique homes that make up the city’s rich architectural history. For the 2014 Great Homes Tour on Sunday, June 1 from noon to 5 p.m., six distinguished homes of distinctive architectural character will take the spotlight. Docents will highlight the interior and exterior features and the history of each home.

This tour allows a limited number of people and often sells out early. The tickets are $35 for members and $40 for non-members through PayPal (via lbheritage.org), or checks can be mailed to Long Beach Heritage, PO Box 92521, Long Beach, CA 90809 with a self-addressed stamped envelope. Cancer League Gala

Community members are invited to join the ladies of the Long Beach Cancer League for the 39th Annual Gala on Saturday, June 7 at the Daugherty Sky Harbor Hangar.
