Assistance League of Long Beach recently added a fifth day of service at its Orthodontic Center, which Center provides high quality affordable care to underprivileged children with moderate to severe orthodontic problems who are referred to the center by the school district. With the additional day, Assistance League is predicting it will be servicing 1,000 children in braces by the end of this fiscal year. Info at or call (562) 627-5650.

Jeff Boy of Keller Williams Realty Coast Properties was recently installed as 2013 president of the Long Beach chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors. Joe Sullivan, author and retired local realtor has written four books. A business semi-autobiographical book “Honesty, is it Worth the Hype, a new age vampire murder novel set in Long Beach “Club Drac,” a bio set mostly in Long Beach in the 60s “I May Not be Perfect, But I’m Irish”, and a cartoon book, the little Jesus book, “Ask Your Mother”.
