The Port of Long Beach is two years into a decade-long, $4.5 billion modernization program that will add tens of thousands of jobs while solidifying its status as the preferred gateway for transpacific trade and a world leader in environmental stewardship. Capital improvements include the Middle Harbor Redevelopment Project, slated to be the greenest and most technologically-advanced container terminal in the country. Long Beach Airport (LGB) will hold an open house to unveil their new passenger concourse on Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The concourse features a partially open-roofed garden walkway, and a concession area designed for a relaxing, resort-like experience.
