Condit Awards Raises $60,000
From Issue: Volume XX - Number 22
Community Hospital of Long Beach Foundation celebrated its 40th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 13, honoring those who served as CHLB Foundation Chairs since its founding in 1972.
More than 250 enjoyed a reception, silent auction, dinner, a live auction and presentations by Myrna Wigod (former Foundation Chair) to new Condit Club members, members reaching new giving levels and those past chairs of the CHLB Foundation.
The Condit Spirit Awards Dinner raised $60,000 to benefit Emergency Services plus Adolescent, Senior and Women’s programs, including a Post Partum Depression Program – the first to start up on the West Coast.
Since 1972 the Foundation has raised more than $32 million insuring that Community Hospital Long Beach continues to provide quality healthcare by optimizing the latest medical technologies and providing services and programs for the diverse needs of the community.
The Condit Spirit Awards Dinner is named after former Long Beach Mayor Fillmore Condit whose charitable gift in 1924 helped make Community Hospital Long Beach a reality.
