47th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT CANDIDATE Gary DeLong, left, was stalked by a young female with a video camera as he took in the Greek Festival on Sunday afternoon with his wife and daughter. It was assumed the stalker was working on behalf of the challenger, Alan Lowenthal, bent on engaging in some form of dirty politics. Wednesday it was reported that Lowenthal has backed out of an Oct. 5 League of Women Voters debate amid reports of a staff shake up and a poor performance at a prior appearance at Long Beach Rotary. On Thursday DeLong released a poll that showed him leading 52.8% to Lowenthal's 43.5%.
